High-Ranking ISIS Leader Accepts Jesus Through Satellite Broadcast

The International Ministry Leading The Way recently shared that a high-ranking ISIS leader was so angered by their satellite television ministry in the Middle East that he devised a plot to disrupt the broadcasts by posing as an interested viewer, calling the program, and eagerly requesting  to meet with one of it’s in-country coordinators whom he then intended to murder.

Once on the phone the ISIS leader entreated the program’s follow-up leader “I need to meet with you!” Leading the Way emphasized that because they take the security of their personnel seriously they are very “strategic about vetting callers before meeting with them in person.” However in this case the follow-up leader explained that he felt God urging him that  “This time is different. Go and meet this man—and be bold with him.”

the follow-up leader explained that he felt God urging him “This time is different. Go and meet this man—and be bold with him.”

So, the meeting was set up and the very same follow-up team leader from the phone call went to meet the caller. Likely understanding the inherent danger of such meetings, or perhaps sensing the unlikelihood of a second one, the follow-up leader explained that he decided to following his initial urging and be very “bold” about proclaiming the Gospel in that very first meeting. After he was done both he and the caller went their separate ways, without incident!

Considering this ISIS leader’s original intentions something incredible must have happened in that conversation that radically altered the outcome of the meeting, and Leading The Way has discovered that in fact, something did!  I can only imagine the intense internal conflict must have begun that ISIS leader’s heart following that one meeting. He explains that he knew God was speaking to him through the words he had heard, but when God finally came to him in a dream he was left under such great conviction that he finally decided to completely follow Christ and to shave off his beard, a visible symbol of his rejection of Islam and complete conversion to Christianity.

Once more this former member of ISIS dialed the Leading The Way ministry, this time “desperate” as he says to meet with the man who had spoken with before. When the opportunity finally came he said “I have a confession, the first time I was going to meet you, I intended to kill you, and I am sorry.”  He then “fell on his face and repented before the Lord.”

“I have a confession, the first time I was going to meet you, I intended to kill you, and I am sorry.”

Leading The Way reports that this former ISIS leader is now a baptized brother in Christ, and that he is now actively proclaiming the very same Gospel of Jesus that he received not so long ago, following very much in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul of whom it was also said  “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.”— Galatians 1:23
